Carl Wormser fait partie des baroudeurs du circuit. Plus "globe-trotter que chineur", il cherche le "Saint Graal, la pièce pour laquelle il ne dort pas". Il continue de se rendre en Afrique ou en Inde, à Chandigarh, qu'il connait comme sa poche pour y aller depuis 20 ans. Il fut l'un des premiers à rapporter les fameux fauteuils en palissandre et cannage tressé de Jeanneret, qui allaient être détruits par les locaux.

Carl Wormser is one of the adventurers of the circuit. More "globetrotter than bargain hunter", he seeks the "Holy Grail, the room for which he does not sleep". He continues to travel to Africa or India, to Chandigarh, which he knows like the back of his hand, to go there for 20 years. He was one of the first to bring back the famous rosewood and braided cane armchairs by Jeanneret, which were to be destroyed by the locals.
